Ayan, Pre-Operation

A Note From Ayan...

(Letter written by Ayan, three years ago)
Hello, my name is Ayan.
I had just turned 4yrs old and the day after my birthday I was rushed to the E.R. because my head would not stop hurting. The doctors sent my mom & I home, when mommy received an emergency call from the hospital & my pediatrician. They told my mommy, the radiologists had been misreading my CT's since Dec. 2005 and missed the growth of the tumor in the rear of my head; which is attached to my brain stem & spinal cord. We also learned there was another mass in my frontal lobe; which, could not be explained. I was rushed back to the hospital for an emergency admit and more extensive testing. Early Tuesday morning February 5th, the neurosurgeon came to my hospital room & told me he schedule my surgery for Thursday, February 7th; and that, it could not wait. I cried, because it made mommy sad that the doctors had to cut me and couldn't guarantee my chances. Most recently, April 2008, my doctors introduced me to an "Oncologist" because my test results came back positive, but the month of May has been the worst month of all..... My mom was informed that her insurance company would no longer cover ANY expenses concerning my medical care. I re-entered the hospital on January 28, 2010 and only to be faced with more surgical procedures to combat my failing health.  Now comes your part, I need to help my mommy find kind people w/ giving hearts, so I hope your heart hears me calling & you will help me to survive.
Love,
Ayan

About Ayan

Help Ayan Posted by Christina Rouse at 8:34pm yesterday

This is my little neighbor who is battling pediatric brain tumors. He is six years old, his name is Ayan. He is the sweetest little guy you will ever meet. If you can help out in any way, I know AyAnna, his mom would be so appreciative. The donation information is under the "donate" tab at the top.  There are many different ways to donate, including through PayPal. I know these are tough times with our economy, but I just can't imagine having to go through something like this with such a small child.
Thank you and love you all!
-Chris
